Types of Henna
The three types of henna powder comes from three different plants.
- Neutral Henna
- Red Henna
- Black Henna
Neutral Henna: Neutral henna is a type of green powder, which smells like freshly cut grass.It is Cassia Obovata, which contains anthraquinones (Chrysophanic acid). This is anti-fungal, anti-bacterial, and anti-microbial. The Cassia Obovata has golden dye, gives yellowish color.
Red Henna: Red henna is a green powder, which smells like hay. Another name is Lawsonia inermis, commonly known as henna. The leaves from this plant has red-orange molequel, which gives red-orange color.
Black Henna: Black henna is a type of green powder, which smells like frozen peas.
